The Hopeman Community Association normally holds its AGM each year in November. Last year, regulations prevented a physical meeting taking place in the hall so the AGM was deferred. Given that the situation still remains uncertain, we have now decided to hold an online meeting at the end of March.
Part of the AGM process is to elect office bearers. There are 4 positions – a Chair, Vice-chair, Treasurer and Secretary. Individuals also assume the legal role of Trustees of the charity, and this group is responsible for the day to day running of the association. Nominations are now sought for these positions, with individuals holding office until the next AGM in November. The Rev Matt Moeller has kindly agreed to act as an independent monitor for the nominations process which is now open until midnight on Sunday 21 February.

Matt will also check that any nominated individual is a) resident in Hopeman and b) willing to have their name put forward. Individuals are also free to nominate themselves. In the event that multiple nominations are received for any position, Matt will monitor an online voting process during March which will also be open to members of the community of Hopeman.
